Joaquin Cintron Vega Elected as National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) North Central Regional Council Vice President of International Research and Global Exchange and Appointed to its National Standing Committee

Toledo, Ohio, January 20, 2022 - Lucas Metropolitan Housing president and chief executive officer, Joaquin Cintron Vega was recently elected as NAHRO's North Central Regional Council vice president of International Research and Global Exchange (IRGE). As vice president of IRGE, Cintron Vega's goal is to promote and support IRGE's mission to share the global exchange of information and help develop relationships that assist NAHRO membership and all those engaged in the expansion and operation of housing and community development programs.

The North Central Regional Council (NCRC) of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) is a membership organization serving as a catalyst for ethical leadership, professional development and legislative advocacy in the affordable housing and community development industry.

The IRGE Committee serves as ambassadors and liaisons to other countries. Further, the Committee has a responsibility to effectively communicate the results of research and observations to their membership and the communities they serve. In so doing, the IRGE Committee fosters the highest standards of ethical behavior, service and accountability to ensure public trust.

"Our vision takes into consideration that just as every company in the world needs research and development to be aware of emerging trends and best practices, so should professional organizations. Housing and community revitalization needs are not addressed just through programs developed within the United States. Social housing and revitalization activities are found throughout the world," said Cintron Vega.

As vice president of the International Research and Global Exchange Committee, Cintron Vega will also serve as a member of the National Standing Committee with (NAHRO).
