Water Issue At Parqwood Apartments Being Resolved

 

Lucas Metropolitan Housing learned about the loss of hot water at Parqwood Apartments on Tuesday, September 1. Restoring service for the health and comfort of our residents is our top priority.  We want to assure Parqwood residents, and the greater community, that we are taking emergency actions and expect to restore hot water service by Friday afternoon.

 

A replacement part to repair the failed boiler is on its way from the supplier with delivery expected the morning of Friday, September 4.  A service team will await the shipment and immediately install the part and correct the problem.

 

Residents were notified Wednesday, September 2 about the problem.  Residents were advised to take the following measures, if necessary:  contact property management to address any concerns; and, to boil water until further notice. 

 

Parqwood Apartments understands the importance of proper sanitation, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, and ask for our residents' patience until we return hot water service to their units. The boiler was last serviced by JL Mechanical on June 9, 2020, as part of a scheduled routine maintenance program.  That service included cleaning and descaling.  This problem was not identified at that time.
