LMH Hires Meta Lim as Vice President of Housing Choice Voucher Programs

Toledo, Ohio, July 23, 2021 - Joaquin Cintron Vega, President and CEO of LMH (Lucas Metropolitan Housing), has announced that the agency has hired Meta Lim, as Vice President of the Housing Choice Voucher Programs. Lim has a distinguished professional career of over eighteen years of experience promoting housing of choice opportunities.

Before joining Lucas Metropolitan Housing, she served as Manager of Assisted Housing Operations at Rockville Housing Enterprises in Rockville, MD and Housing Opportunities Commission in Kensington, MD. More recently, she served as the first Tax Chief for the District of Columbia Government, where she successfully developed and implemented the tax collection for the District's Paid Family Leave program.

"It is very exciting to have Lim on board," said Joaquin Cintron Vega, President and CEO, LMH. "She is a professional who incorporates the necessary housing choice voucher programs' knowledge and expertise with the leadership, communication, and interaction skills that Lucas Metropolitan Housing needs to create housing opportunities in existing high-opportunity neighborhoods and improve neighborhood conditions to create mixed- income communities of choice," he said.

"Meta is tasked with supporting my vision to improve our existing services and to expand the housing opportunities we offer to our low-income population by outlining clear program expectations through a meaningful outreach and education process across our community," said Cintron Vega.

Lim graduated from Strayer University at Washington, DC and, in 2020, completed the DC Executive Leadership Program at George Washington University. She is certified in Performance Management and Public Housing Authority Financial Management. From a more technical standpoint, she is also certified as a Tax Credit Specialist and Public Housing Manager and in Section 8 Rent Calculations, Fraud & Compliance and Housing Choice Voucher Program Management.

Throughout her career, Lim has been recognized for several achievements including a Merit Award for performance from the Housing Opportunities Commission.

"I am honored and excited to be selected by Mr. Cintron Vega to forward his vision for the families of Toledo," said Lim. "I look forward to working with my new housing team at LMH, the landlords, the constituents and the community partners to help continue LMH's goal to sustain and make available affordable housing for all residents of Toledo."
