Safety and Security

LMHA’s Safety and Security Office works to provide leadership to assist the housing authority to comply with local, state and federal regulatory safety requirements as well as many voluntary standards.

We work closely with the Toledo Police Department to coordinate a community-policing effort at our sites.

The LMHA is obligated to provide a workplace for our employees which is free from hazards, and in doing so, Safety & Security coordinates with other departments to provide oversight, training, education and information for creating a safe environment in which to work.

Although our goal is to meet our customer’s expectations, it is also desired to accomplish this with a minimal disturbance to their daily lives. We work collaboratively to recognize potential areas of concern and mitigate them prior to their becoming an issue. We strive to provide safe and secure facilities in which to live, visit and work.
