The Section 3 program is a provision of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968 that helps foster local economic development, neighborhood economic improvement, and individual self-sufficiency.
Particular emphasis shall be directed toward those residents who are recipients of government assistance for housing, and to businesses that provide economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons.
The Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority shares and adopts this purpose for the benefit of its residents, other Section 3 residents and certain businesses that provide opportunities to those residents. Review the LMHA Section 3 Policy and Procedures.
If you are a resident or business owner who would like to be considered for this program please fill out the form and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
