Deputy Executive Director


The Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) is seeking a Deputy Executive Director to assist in all operations and ensure effective management of the LMHA.  Some key facts about LMHA:

LMHA is among the fifty largest housing authorities in the United States and provides affordable housing opportunities to approximately 14,000 individuals. 

LMHA owns and manages approximately 2,786 public and affordable housing units, including properties for low-income elderly, disabled and family households and 198 market rate units.

The Agency administers 4,663 federal Housing Choice (Section 8) rental assistance vouchers.

LMHA has 140 full-time employees, and an annual operating budget of $53 million.

The Deputy Executive Director will plan, direct and coordinate the management and fiscal operations of assigned LMHA functions including housing assistance programs, property management/maintenance, modernization/redevelopment, and resident services. 



Bachelor’s degree required in business, public administration, urban planning or other related discipline  (Master’s degree is strongly preferred); plus

Seven (7) years of industry related experience with a minimum of five (5) years at the Deputy or Department Director level or equivalent
