Director of Finance
The Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and financial advisor to the Executive Director and other LMHA Managers. The Director of Finance will:
- Plan, direct and coordinate the financial affairs of the LMHA to include management and supervisionof accounting, payroll and benefits, information systems, and procurement; and will maintain all financial systems pursuant to HUD’s Asset Based Management/Project Based Budgeting Model and in accordance with GAAP accounting principles.
LMHA is among the fifty largest housing authorities in the United States and provides affordable housing opportunities to approximately 14,000 individuals. LMHA owns and manages approximately 2,700 public housing units, 200 affordable housing units, 4,563 federal Housing Choice (Section 8) rental assistance vouchers, and has an annual operating budget of $53 million.
- Master's degree required in business administration (CPA preferred) and minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with fund accounting involving complex general ledger systems in large organizations including substantial experience in account analysis/reconciliations, budgets and financial reporting; ideally candidate will have public housing experience and familiarity with public housing funding sources.
- Minimum of six years of supervisory experience.
